Dental Checkup!

Jennifer took the boys to the dentist while I was out of town, too. She's such a brave lass! Grandma and Grandpa came along, as this was Max's first visit to the dentist, and we figured some support would be a good idea. Dylan really likes his dentist (Dr. David Crippen) and we think he is pretty terrific too. He has excellent way with kids, at least ours, and they respond well to him and his staff as well.

Dylan had to get a cleaning and X-rays (first time), and Jennifer said he did all this with confidence, poise and humor. Here are some photos from the visit.

Easter, 2012!

Easter. Easter Bunny. Egg dying. Baskets. Jelly Beans. And oh so much more... Jennifer ended up doing the lion's share of the prep this year, as I was out of town, and she and the boys did a bang up job. (I'll post some photos she took of the preparations.) Easter morning was grand and the boys had a fun time on the egg hunt, and then over to Aunt Suzy's and Uncle Jim's for a family lunch. Hope everyone had a great Easter!

Snow Bunnies!

We had planned some months ago to take the boys sledding up in the mountains (as we flatlanders say, "Go to the snow...") but when I went up in the mountains (this was back in mid-December, mind you) there was no snow to go to! Bummer, man... However, March proved to be a very wet, snowy month, and so we decided to take them during Spring Break. We went to the same place we had planned to go to in December, but alas and alack, it ended up on the Eastern side of the Sierras - a lot less snow. The upside was that there were very few people there other than us, and the other advantage was that the boys did not know any better. They had a blast sledding and then tubing and even a snowball fight with the old man.
